The game’s director, Shigeru Ohmori, described it as a more modern setting. Sword and Shield’s events take place in the Galar region, a large, narrow expanse of land that is one of many in the Pokémon world. to Gigantamax/Dynamax your pokemon (the ones that can Gigantamax/Dynamax) you need to get a wishing star and activate it in battle by pressing start. (creator’s commentary) this is my first rom so don’t expect anything to go head-to-head with these ROMs that have been in production for years.
Logically it is not 100% the same as the switch version but, it as good as you’re gonna get for GBA. Also, be sure to try out Pokemon Supreme Fire (Final Remake)
